Message from management

In 2022, Kubota celebrated its 100th anniversary in the engine business. Kubota will continue to contribute to society through high technological capabilities and innovation, while meeting the needs of our customers.

Message from management

This year, Kubota celebrates the 100th year since it started manufacturing small engines for agriculture in 1922. Through the years, Kubota has supplied engines that meet a wide range of customer applications and needs. Today, Kubota engines play an active role not only in Kubota products, but also as the core elements driving various types of machinery, including agricultural and construction machinery.

In terms of environmental initiatives, Kubota was the first industrial diesel engine manufacturer in the world to obtain certification for CARB ULGE, the world's first emission regulation for non-road engines.
Since then, we have been able to meet increasingly stringent emission regulations for industrial engines, and thus provide customers with environmentally friendly engines, in countries all over the world.

To gain the trust of industrial machinery manufacturer customers worldwide, we will continue to strive for technological advancements, innovation, and sustainable growth. Finally, as an engine manufacturer that strives to meet the various needs of our customers and society, Kubota employees are working as one to offer an engine lineup that contributes to the realization of a carbon-neutral society.

“An engine is more than just a machine”

The reason Kubota can answer such a wide range of machinery needs in the world is that we offer so many kinds of engines. We have been involved in R&D for many years, and we take pride in the fact that we can make any kind of engine. What’s great about engines is that they can produce power easily and can be used anywhere. And engines will continue to transform, from mere machines to mechanical systems.
We exchange opinions with professionals from all fields of science in our thorough pursuit of quality. The ultimate dream we are working towards is to someday achieve a “true zero emissions engine” that also produces zero heat, noise, and vibration, and we will continue our work toward that goal.
